Product Description

THEMICIN 300 is an antibiotic injection containing clindamycin, a potent antibacterial agent used to treat a variety of serious bacterial infections. Clindamycin belongs to the lincosamide group of antibiotics and works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby slowing or stopping the growth of susceptible bacteria. It is administered by a qualified healthcare professional, typically in a hospital or clinical setting, via intravenous (IV) or intramuscular (IM) injection.

Therapeutic Uses

Clindamycin injection is used to treat serious bacterial infections, particularly those involving susceptible gram‑positive and anaerobic bacteria. Common clinical applications include:

• Lower respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia, empyema, and lung abscess.
• Skin and soft‑tissue infections and cellulitis.
• Intra‑abdominal infections (e.g., peritonitis, abscesses).
