Tractebel Engineering provides a project ownership technical assistance for the French national track owner Réseau Ferré de France (RFF) on the high-speed railway project : LGV Est Européenne Phase 2 (France).
The tunnel Boring Machine, “Charlotte“, has reached the end of the first of the two tubes forming the 4 km long tunnel of Saverne. This tunnel will allow France’s high-speed rail service TGV to cross the Vosges at high speed and thus gain an additional 30 minutes on traveling between Paris and Strasbourg.
The assignment of Tractebel Engineering consists of monitoring and inspecting the design andimplementation of the project, from the construction design (PRO) studies up to thehomologation procedures for the completed line. It involves full project management of the interfaces from a technical, quality, and management point of view.
