The Registration of Ph.D scholars in various disciplines in the University Departments, recognized research centers in affiliated colleges and other institutions have now crossed 1400 ( live research registrations). This is an all time record since the establishment of the University. The overwhelming enthusiasm shown by the post graduates towards research and creation of more opportunities for research, as well as the flexibility in admission procedure may the reason for high enrollment of scholars with M.Phil degree, or having external fellowships can now join any time throughout the year. The total no of researchers enjoying various fellowships during 2015-16 is 610 out of which more than 300 is with the support of outside funding agencies including UGC.
