Description
Valcivir is an antiviral medication used in the treatment of infections caused by the herpes viruses. It includes genital herpes (herpes simplex virus type 2) and cold sores (herpes simplex virus type 1). It is also prescribed for the prevention of recurrent outbreaks of genital herpes and for the treatment of herpes zoster (shingles) and herpes labialis (cold sores) in immunocompromised individuals. It contains the active substance Valaciclovir. It belongs to the group of medicines called Antivirals. It is manufactured and marketed by pharmaceutical company Cipla Limited.
Usage
It works to inhibit the replication of herpes viruses. It reduces the severity of symptoms, promoting healing, and preventing the spread of the infection. It can make your healing process faster. It prevents recurrence of the sores. It decreases the symptoms. It prevents the multiplication of infection that causes viruses. It reduces the severity of the infection.
