XM 19 is a nitrogen strengthened austenitic stainless steel which has excellent corrosion resistance in comparison to type 316 & 316L. It provides higher corrosion resistance & higher strength. XM 19 can be a confusing alloy to work with because there are three different types of conditions used for numerous applications. The three different types of condition are annealed, as rolled & high strength.
