Polyfix (Anti Corossive Rebar Coating Chemical) Polyfix is basically a polymer based coating that is specially formulated to protect steel from corrosion. Mild steel starts corroding when it is directly exposed to the atmosphere or when it comes in contact with water. Due to corrosion reduces the strength of steel making it unable to bear the designed loads. Therefore it is very important to prevent steel from corrosion. Steel can be prevented from corrosion if conditions around steel are maintained in the alkaline range. Polyfix is alkaline in nature and cement itself is alkaline in nature. Thus when this mixed slurry is applied on steel, it forms a permanent protective coating preventing any further corrosion. Application Procedure 1. First clean the steel surface of any loosely held particles scales by a wire brush/ sand papers. Swipe down the surface with a paint brush /cloth again. 2. Prepare slurry by mixing 1 Kg Polyfix and 1 Kg fresh cement into a lump free consistency. Add little water for painting consistency. Then apply this slurry on the surface by a paint brush. Note: Prepare adequate amount of material which can be used in 30 minutes. Packing : 5,25,50 kgs The information given is true to the best of our knowledge. (Epoxy Coating ELASTOMERIC - an Anticorrosive Coating)
INTRODUCTION :
EPOX - 118, is pigmented high solids two components Epoxy based [i.e. Resin & Hardner] air drying systems, specially formulated for Anti-corrosive coating in chemical Zones and coastal areas. It’s composition of Epoxy resin, Hardner, pigment paste & fillers for good Elastomeric, flow & wetting properties. The process of weighting odd quantities of Resin & Hardner is nearly eliminated ,hence the two components are mixed before application on 1:0.5 proportion by volume.

RATIO : Resin part 1.0 part by Vol. 1.0 part by Wt.

Viscosity of mix : 50 +/- 10 seconds

SURFACE PREPARATION :
For better adhesion, it is essential to clean the surface on which EPOX - 118 is to be applied. To remove dust dirt or loose particle by emery paper, wire brush or power tools. To get optimum performance the surface must be dry, free from oil grease and sufficiently roughened.
FIELD OF APPLICATION :
EPOX - 118 being excellent [Chemical Resistance] is suitable
systems for the corrosive chemical Industries to prevent the M S. Structures,TMT Bars from Acidic Fumes, TMT bars from rusting during monsoon, Dilute Acidic & Alkali’s.
For Chemical, We recommend EPOX-100, as prime coat due to good adhesion ability with M. S.Structures. And further more the same system coating can be applied to M.S. Grills of Residence & Hotels beside coastal Zones.
EPOX -118 being Flexible, Glossy and smooth finish is suitable
system for the FLOORING & WALLS of offices, pharmaceuticals,
garments, photofilms, texturing industries & even at Hotel & Residence.
