The rooftop rainwater harvesting filter installation is designed to collect and treat rainwater from building rooftops before storing it in a sump. Rainwater flowing from the roof is conveyed through gutters and downpipes to a filtration unit installed near the sump or along the downpipe.

The filter system removes contaminants such as leaves, dust, bird droppings, and other suspended particles using a multi-layer filtration mechanism. Typical filter media include stainless steel mesh for coarse filtration, followed by layers of  cartridge filters for finer purification.    

The stored water can be used for non-potable applications such as toilet flushing, gardening, cleaning, and, with additional treatment, for domestic purposes.
