Dr.Bharat Patel is a board certified Plastic Surgeon. Born in Mumbai City, he completed his Schooling and Junior College here. He joined Krishna Institute of medical sciences, Karad ,Maharashtra for his under graduation and completed his MBBS in 1995 with a university rank. He did his Post Graduation from Dr. Vaishampayan Memorial Medical College, Solapur, Maharashtra and completed his M.S (General Surgery) in 1999.

For his Superspecialisation course in Plastic Surgery, he joined Topiwala Medical National College & Nair Hospital, Mumbai and completed his M.Ch (Plastic Surgery) in 2004 from the prestigious University of Mumbai

He worked at Burns unit, Kasturba Hospital, Mumbai for care of burn victims and salvaged critical patient and even prevented post burn deformities.

In the same year he was appointed as a faculty member at Plastic Surgery department of Topiwala National Medical College and worked as a lecturer /Assistant Professor till 2008.

Thereafter, he was promoted as Associate Professor at the prestigious Seth G.S Medical College and K.E.M Hospital and offered his services up to 2013.

During his tenure at KEM Hospital he was appointed as a Post Graduate teacher for Plastic Surgery in 2009,by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences(MUHS) Nashik. This involved him in the training the resident Doctor for Plastic surgical wok as well as being the examiner for the M.Ch (Plastic Surgery) degree university examinations. He was also involved in conducting lectures and seminars for undergraduates as well as post graduates. He had been the faculty member and great speaker for various conferences, workshops and CME`S held during his tenure at KEM Hospital.

His keen focus was on the reconstructive work and management of Burn patients. But he always had a cosmetic outlook in many of the reconstructive procedures he performed, which boosted the morale of his patients. He had a special interest and desire for the management of Alopecia (Hair loss). He also learned the techniques Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation under Dr.Rajesh Rajput, a pioneer hair transplant system in Mumbai. He is also a member of the Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons of India and also faculty member forHAIRCON 2012 Conference.

As a kind and humble human being he had worked with many social organizations in peace as well as disaster. The notable amongst then was at the ‘Earthquake relief Camp “at Bidada, Kutch, Gujarat during Earthquake Disaster in Jan 2001.

He had also volunteered his services for the underprivileged communities on the “Life line Express” (Hospitals on wheels), the Smile Train Express at Durg and Korba–Chattisgarh, Bargah Road and Bolangir-Orissa, Dahanu Road –Maharashtra.

His keen sense of artistry is especially seen in the outcome of cosmetic surgeries he performs. He had interacted with many internationally renowned cosmetic surgeons during conferences and workshops. Under their guidelines he has evolved as a refined cosmetic surgeon. He now performs the entire spectrum of Body Contouring and Cosmetic procedures.
