Product Descriptions:
Sika Latex Power is a synthetic rubber emulsion which when added to cement slurry/ cement mortar/ concrete/ grout provides good adhesion and water resistance. It comes in the form of a milky liquid. It is fully soluble in water and is to be added directly to the gauging water of mortar/ concrete/ cementitious grout.

Usage:

For waterproofing of roof slabs, sunken slabs, basements, water tanks, sunshades, etc. in combination with cement

As a bonding agent for uses in repair and plastering

For making polymer mortar for repairs mortars, etc.

Treatment for leaching and saltpetre action

Multipurpose mortar admixture for injection grout

Characteristic:

Improves elasticity, flexibility, tensile strength of cement and reduces cracking

Makes the mortar waterproof and reduces susceptibility to acids and gases, saltpetre action, etc.

Mortar with Sika® Latex Power shows extremely good bonding to bases like concrete, stone, brick, etc.

Reduces viscosity of cement injection grout and improves bond of cured injected materials with substrate

Product Description:
AquaArm Bond Latex is a SBR based liquid for high performance applications in waterproofing and repairs.

Uses:

• As a bonding agent for the following
• Plaster to plaster
• Concrete to concrete
• Plaster over brick masonry
• As a additive for waterproof plaster
• To repair Plaster cracks more than 5 mm
• As a coating for prevention of corrosion in rebars Mixed with cements

• Excellent Coverage -70-80 sqft per litre / in 2 coats, hence economical
• Less material wastage- material does not fall back /rebound, when used as bonding agent
• High Bond Strength
• Prevents leakage & dampness
• Enhances strength of a repair mortar & provides durability

• Surface for treatments must be thoroughly cleaned of all laitance, loose material, oils, grease, etc.
• Mechanical means such as wire brushing, shot blasting can be used and finally vacuum cleaned of all loose solids and liquids.
• Before application ensure that the surface is damp with water but in a touch dry condition.

• Mix 1 litre of AquaArm Bond Latex with pre-measured water for 50 liter of cement.
• Use this mix to add to the recommended dry plaster mixes
• Plaster mixes may be as rich as 1:3 (cement: sand)
• Keep water-cement ratio in Plaster as low as 0.4 but not more than 0.45
• For better application apply a bond coat with AquaArm Bond Latex as suggested earlier
• 2nd and final layer of plaster must not be mixed with AquaArm Bond Latex
• Take care to scratch-key the 1st coat surface for mechanical key and effective bond with the 2nd coat

• To be applied over damp substrate but in a dry to touch state
• Not suggested for use in very critical concrete repairs
• Waterproof coats with AquaArm Bond Latex must be protected with screeds/plasters
• When applying as a bond coat, if it becomes dry, re-apply to reach a tacky state for overlay of concrete or mortar
• 2nd coat of plaster with AquaArm Bond Latex may cause a problem in external painting of the surface

Uses:

• Sika Rustoff 100 removes rust and prevents further rusting of:
• New or old reinforcement steel in construction
• Embedded steel in repairable structures
• Various steel structures like tanks, water pipelines, effluent pipelines, trusses, purlins, rafters etc.
• Ball bearings, valves, tools etc.
• Ideal for protecting reinforcements with insufficient cover or in thin sections

Characteristics / Advantages:

• Removes rust
• Prevents further rusting by providing a passivating coat
• To be applied with brush, cotton waste swab or spray gun on the affected metal surface
• Easy to apply since it is in liquid form
• For repairable structures when applied with brush /spray gun can reach even the most difficult rusted areas with congested reinforcements

Substrate Quality:

Substrate should be free from oil, dirt and grease. For concrete remove cement skin, 
loose particles etc. Cavities, pin holes should be leveled.

Substrate Preparation:

For heavily rusted surface,first clean mechanically by wire brushing, sand blasting etc. depending on the extent of corrosion.

Application Method / Tools:

• Apply Sika Rustoff 100 by brush, cotton waste swab or spray on the effected metal surface. Leave it in contact with the surface till the reddish colour of the corroded surface has changed to nearest original black.
• Excess application may sometime give whitish black surface.
• After a minimum 24 hours remove the loose rust particles by brush.
• After the removal of loose rust any reddish rusted surface still left has to be retreated with Sika Rustoff 100.
• After the surface dries up totally (within 48 hours).
• Clean the surface with water jet and allow it to dry.
• Apply a preventive coating like Sika Rustop.
