How it works
Pure Steam Generators work on the principle of evaporation in generating steam. Pure steam is produced by evaporating feed water with in the tubes of the vertical tube evaporator and circulating it through a staged separator. The driving force for this process is the "PLANT STEAM". Plant steam is applied to the shell side of the evaporator at a pressure higher than the desired Pure Steam output.
The evaporator is a double tube sheet, shell and tube heat exchanger fabricated from S.S. 316 L. Plant steam supplied to the shell side of the evaporator. The steam gives heat to feed water inside the tubes. The evaporator has a special down pipe which establishes convection current within the heat exchanger to prevent water stagnation.
Machine fabrik essentially uses three separation techniques. In the separator vessel the majority of water is separated from steam by gravity. Steam then flows a torturous path through multi direction baffles to the second stage - the cyclone separator. In the cyclone separator the high centrifugal forces act on the entrained vapor. Finally, after passing through the demister pads the PURE STEAM is discharged through a nozzle in the dome.
Feed Water Pre heater
The feed water passes through a shell and tube type, counter flow feed heater, picking up additional heat from the condensate leaving the evaporator. Hot feed water at a temperature below boiling point flows into the separator. This improves the energy efficiency.
Pure Steam Sampler
A sampling devise is provided at the Pure Steam Outlet. This comprises of a shell and tube heat exchanger with sanitary diaphragm valves. Optionally a conductivity measurement sensor with analyzer can be provided for on-line conductivity monitoring of the Pure Steam condensate.
In addition to DQ performing of 1Q/0Q/PQ of the system, complete steam quality Testing as per En 285 and HTM 2010 requirement can be performed. This comprises of Test for Dryness Fraction, Non Condensable Gases and Degree of Super Heat.
