This 3S 40A Li-ion Battery Protection Board is designed to protect lithium-ion batteries that have a normal voltage of 3.7V and a fully charged voltage of 4.2V. The Li-ion Battery Protection Board is basically a protection IC for 3-serial-cell lithium-ion/ lithium polymer rechargeable batteries. It can charge lithium batteries with a rated voltage of 10.8V for polymer batteries, 11.1V for 18650 or 3.7V batteries, and 12.6V. It can also discharge up to 10A (the maximum current limit for discharge). The module has built-in protection against over-charging, over-discharging, over-current, and short circuit.

Formula expansion :

1C battery expansion, 2000 capacity is equal to 2AH x 1 = 2A upper limit of current.
3C battery expansion, 2000 capacity equal to 2AH x 3 = 6A upper operating current.
