Our Vision
Sampurn(e)arth Environment Solutions Pvt. Ltd. envisions a world where waste is transformed into utilizable resources without exploitation of people or the planet. We are working towards breaking the non-cyclic process of waste management, which currently involves extraction, production, consumption and dumping or landfilling, resulting in green house gas emissions, ground water pollution and an ever-increasing strain on natural resource.
Awards and Achievements
We have won accolades at several business plan competitions over the past 3 years. The most significant win has been at the Global Social Venture Competition 2014 organized by the Haas School of Business of the University of California – Berkeley where we emerged as the winners out of about 650 entries from 40 countries. Nationally, we have emerged at the top at competitions organized by the various IITs, IIMs and other business schools. We were selected as Top five Mumbai Heroes 2015, an initiative taken by Mumbai Mirror.
Our Team
Our founding team consists of three Post Graduates with Masters in Social Entrepreneurship from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. We have been working in the waste management sector since 2010 in association with Stree Mukti Sanghatana (SMS). Together with SMS, we have worked on different business models; piloted and tested them. While our focus is on the business development, the role of the NGO involves organizing waste-pickers, training them and making them employable.
