The Department of Biotechnology was established in 2004. The Department imparts education to equip students with modern skills compatible to the needs of industry and academia. Keeping in view the interdisciplinary nature of Biotechnology, the curricula offers an engineering base encompassing courses from chemical engineering, computer science & engineering, electronics and communication engineering, mechanical engineering, management, mathematics, statistics, physics and professional development so as to enable students to work not only in the Biotech industries but also in other industries. The students are provided an opportunity to do a research project which helps them to handle independent projects in academia and industry

The department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2001. The primary focus of the department is to produce highly competent IT professionals, who can be readily acceptable by the industry. Department of CS&E offers under graduate program leading to Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science & Engineering (annual intake of 120 students), post graduate Program leading to Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (annual intake of 24 students) and research program leading to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) degree.

The Mechanical Engineering, popularly known as Royal Mech, is one of the most opted courses in engineering arena. It has created ever standing demand as the graduates in this course are offered worldwide placement opportunities in Design and Manufacturing sectors of the Industries. The graduates of Mechanical Engineering are also having scope to work in the fields like Automobile, Aerospace and Defense sectors of the country. The department of Mechanical Engineering, one of the prestigious and core departments in the Institution was established in the year 2001 right from the inception of the Institution with an objective of imparting quality technical education in the field of Mechanical Engineering. It started its course of journey with intake of 30 in the year 2001, increased to 60 in the year 2002 and 120 in the year 2013. The department is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and approved by AICTE, New Delhi and also recognized as a “Research Center” by VTU offering PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
