STC (as a major partner in a JV) provided total project management services from designs to commissioning for this project to supply a total of 521 MLD of water to      5 areas in Kerala (Thirvandrum, Calicut, Meenad, Pattuvam & Chertala) under          5 schemes.  Components included 5 WTP (73 MLD to 174 MLD) and several pumping stations, hundreds of kilometers of water mains and over 4000 kilometers of distribution mains.
Highlights:  One of the largest water supply projects ever undertaken in the country.

Scope of Services: Surveys, investigations, designs, detail engineering, drawings, reports, specifications, boq's, and tender documents, contractor qualification documents, bid evaluation reports for water supply, sewerage and storm water drainage systems for 16 towns in Tripoli region, Libya serving 0.5 million people.  Client: National Consulting Bureau [NCB] - Government of Libya, Period: 2006-2009 Project cost: US$ 800 million.
Highlights: Design challenges: (a) synchronise designs with the GMMR system hydraulics  (b) optimise pipe hydraulics [water, sewers, storm water] (c) incorporate techniques to expedite construction and minimise civic disruption (d) make choice of pipe material to withstand harsh weather and corrosive soil conditions.

Scope of Services: Designs, detail engineering, drawings, GIS, quality assurance and monitoring for following components in Niagara and Toronto regions of Canada:  (a)  twin water transmission main (b) sewage pump stations and conveyance mains (c) sewage treatment plant upgrades.  Clients:  Niagara Regional Municipality, Genivar, Hatch Mott McDonald, Cole and Varcon since, Period: 2010 - Ongoing, Project cost: CAD 80 million.
Highlights: Challenges included establishing appropriate line of communication, project monitoring and quality system satisfying client and Canadian codes/ standards.

STC provided designs, tendering and periodic assistance during construction to bring 180 MLD of water to Chennai.  Components included Intake, 180 MLD x 2 pumping stations, rehabilitation of 180 MLD WTP, 230 kms of 1500 mm and above mains,    18 major river crossings and 3 ML MBR.
Highlights:  At 230 kms this is probably the longest water pipeline in the country.
