Shilpa Reddy launched her label in 2010. In a world where cultures are melting, yet individualism is becoming more important, Shilpa Reddy finds her métier in understated glamour. Applying innovative techniques to cultural forms, reinventing cultural embellishment and embroideries, the label brings a new dimension to Indian bridal and trousseau wear. Sophisticated cuts, clean structure, premium fabrics, impeccable fit and finish are cornerstones of Shilpa Reddy’s designs.
As a designer her first major success was when she took part in India fashion week Dubai, which quickly became a sensation. Her work earned a world-wide acknowledgement when she became the only Indian designer to showcase at J Autumn show in 2014 at The Eiffel Tower, Paris where she exhibited a collection using Malkha fabric, also know for its deep rooted connections to Indian textiles. She had a keen interest in reinventing and reviving the Indian weaves in her ensemble with with a contemporary edge.
She also left everyone spellbound yet another time when she exhibited her collection using Pochampally weave, incorporated in the azure Telangana Ikkat in the backdrop of the hypnotic skyline of New York on Hudson River. Her designs also made appearances at Lakme Fashion Week.+ Read More
