An Insulating glass is made by fusing two or more glass panes spaced by dry air or inert gas. The system is perfected by seperating the glass panes with an aluminium spaced tube, joined at each corner and filled with a specially designed absrbent. The unit is then sealed around the perimeter with a flexible sealant . The inner seal is applied with butyl (polyisobutylene) sealant and the outer with an elastic based on polusulphide polymer or silicone.Benefits
Energy Conservation : Shipa Insulating Glass saves on heating and cooling by reducing air to air heat transfer.
Condensation Control : The insulating effect of the air layer makes it difficult for the glass to become cold which makes dew condensation difficult, which is formed due to diference in temperature between outside and inside of a room.
Sound Insulation : External noise pollution is effectively reduced by insulating glass. This depends on the combination of the insulating glass. Using one of the panes as laminated glass or using panes of unequal thickness helps in combating the noise.
Pleasent Environment: Personal comfort and energy conservation too can be heightened as the absence of cold or warm droughts brought about by insulation make the internal environment pleasent.
Wind Pressure: Increases ability to withstand high degrees of wind pressure.
