- 1976: Mr. Sarat Kumar Sahoo had started a humble Spices, grinding unit with a mere investment.
- 1976-1985: Within this brief period, Ruchi Spices unit has forged ahead to stability. A permanent establishment at Khapuria Industrial Estate, Cuttack put Ruchi Spices on map of Orissa industries.
- 1985-1995: During this period many Govt. institutions recognized Sri Sahoo as a stable and upcoming entrepreneur. Awards from OASME, ROTARY, OSIC, OSFC, EPM, SBI, Spices Board, DIC
- 1995-2005: This period can be rated as "Golden Age" for Ruchi Industry. This time Ruchi spread it's wings beyond Orissa and then crossed seven seas abroad! Exports started overseas. Ruchi Company entered into cultural, charitable social arena erecting a forum named "Ruchi Prativa Foundation". Started Ruchi Food craft institute. Imported Pasta Plant using Twin Technology of Italy & South Korea. Ruchi Company was awarded the coveted "Spice House Certificate" of Spices Board (Govt. of India) for top hygiene maintenance of the factory and quality produce. Ruchi Company was awarded ISO-9001 Certification. HACCP certifications.

It has been certified by several food safety companies and audited regularly by the concern authority.
Ruchi is an ISO 22000:2005 Certified Company which is a model for quality assurance in production, installation and servicing and applicable for all its quality clauses. Through ISO and HACCP, Ruchi intends to satisfy the customer's needs and expectations by having standardized systems, procedures and work ethics compared with the best in industry. Ruchi's achievement include prestigious AGMARK from Govt. of India and Exports Registration Certificate from Spices Board, also Govt. of India.
