This drainage passage may often get blocked due to which infection and some other associated trouble may arise. This situation may lead to pain and sinuses swelling. This is where endoscopic sinus surgery comes into picture to clear the blockage and help a clean drainage of mucus. For this a thin tool called endoscope is utilized, which is a thin lighted tube. It allows the physician to view and operate inside the nose and sinuses.
