Monoblock Class D Subwoofer Amplifier, 1500 W x 1 @ 1 – 2 Ω / 750 W x 1 @ 4 Ω – 14.4V

Engineered for high-power, subwoofer applications, the RD1500/1 monoblock amplifier is built to deliver staggering amounts of world-class bass output. Equipped with a special low impedance circuit, the RD1500/1 is capable of generating a whopping 1500 watts of output power, at either 1 or 2 ohms (14.4V, 1% THD). At the heart of this ultra-sleek and compact power plant is JL Audio’s exclusive NexD™ Class D technology, permitting high power output with exceptional efficiency and low distortion.

For your convenience, all of the RD1500/1’s controls are located on top of the amplifier, beneath a protective cover, with all connections found along one side of its chassis. Signal processing features include a 12 dB / octave low-pass filter, with continuously variable frequency selection from 50-500 Hz, and a variable bass boost EQ. Dual-range, differential-balance inputs are also onboard, capable of accepting most input voltage levels. Automatic turn-on capability (via signal sensing or DC-offset sensing) is standard, along with a set of preamp outputs so you can easily pass signals to another amplifier.

The RD1500/1 is also equipped with an onboard LED-clipping indicator. This all-new, innovative feature lets you easily set your amplifier’s input sensitivity setting, quickly and accurately, with no special equipment needed. The RD1500/1 features a durable, black powder-coated finish and a top-mounted, dual-color LED light strip that reports the overall status and condition. Control of the subwoofer level from the driver’s seat is easily accomplished with the addition of the optional RBC-1 remote level control (sold separately).

Designed to simplify great audio, every VXi amplifier combines our advanced NexD2™ switching amplifier technology with an integrated, full-featured digital signal processor.

Employing our second generation NexD2™ amplifier technology, the VX1000/5i efficiently powers a complete audio system. It can drive four main speakers with 75 W x 4 @ 4 ohms while also powering a subwoofer with up to 600W @ 2 ohms. Bridging the main channels converts it into a very powerful, 3-channel system amplifier with up to 200W x 2 @ 4 ohms on the main channels and 600W @ 2 ohms on the subwoofer channel.

The NexD2™ full-range technology in the main channels of this amplifier is DSP-controlled and features a reduced loop area design utilizing DirectFET™ outputs for outstanding fidelity, very low noise and exceptional efficiency. The subwoofer channel features an optimized low-frequency variant of the NexD2™ technology. The amplifier chassis is ultra-compact, with all connections on one side, to greatly simplify installation into tight spaces.

Instead of traditional control knobs and switches, all amplifier adjustments and DSP functionality are configured via a compatible external device (PC, Tablet or Smartphone), with the appropriate JL Audio TüN™ Software application installed.

NexD2™ switching technologies are an evolution of our renowned NexD™ Class D technology, with significant improvements in fidelity, efficiency and radiated noise performance.

NexD2™ employs a new generation of power supply and output devices, which are incredibly compact and surface-mountable. These Infineon® DirectFETTM devices feature the latest MOSFET silicon technology, the smaller package reduces parasitic capacitance and inductance thus improving current carrying capability and efficiency, encased in a metal enclosure to optimize heat dissipation. They also minimize radiated noise.

In addition to the new silicon, NexD2™ benefits from advancements in the area of circuit layout. Our “minimum loop area” design approach places capacitors closely coupled to each output section, and the amplifier circuits have been engineered to minimize the length of ground return paths. This approach reduces interaction between the audio channels, to improve separation and reduce distortion and radiated noise.

In the multi-channel VXi amplifiers, we have also leveraged the power of the on-board DSP to synchronize all channels via the DSP’s master clock. This eliminates undesirable interactions between channels that are caused by variations in switching frequency.

The resulting NexD2™ amplifiers are incredibly compact and efficient, while delivering a level of fidelity that will satisfy the most demanding listener.

The Power T400X4ad 400 Watt 4-channel ultra-compact, amplifier is built on Rockford Fosgate’s proprietary Class-AD technology, featuring Constant Power to produce the same output at both 4-Ohm and 2-Ohm impedances. Flexible vehicle integration enabled through low-level and high-level inputs with auto turn-on. Top mounted controls allow easy access to built-in crossover and C.L.E.A.N. input/output clip detection circuits. The 3-stage thermal lock extrusion with dual fan forced induction keeps everything cool while real-time thermal/protection schemes safeguard the amplifier.
