More Uniform Stress Distribution Over the Entire Bond Face: This has a very positive effect on the static and dynamic strength achieved. Where welding and riveting result in localised stress peaks, adhesive bonding achieves uniform distribution and absorption of stress loads.

No Change in Surface and Texture of The Joined Materials: Welding temperatures may change the texture and, therefore, the mechanical properties of materials. In addition, welding, riveting and fastening all affect the visual appearance of the parts.

Weight Saving: Adhesives are particularly popular for light-weight constructions, where thin walled parts (wall thickness < 0.5 mm) must be joined.

Versatile and Easy to Use

LOCTITE instant adhesives are easy to use, whether integrated into an automated production line or in the repair shop. They cure at room temperature, are typically single-component and available in different viscosities to fit your exact requirements.

A wide selection of dispensing equipment is available and we also design and build dispensing tools to fit customer specifications.

Application

LOCTITE instant Adhesive is applied thinly to one side. The parts are immediately pressed together for 5 to 60 seconds, depending on the material. To achieve optimum results when using LOCTITE Instant Adhesive, ensure that all surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry and free from oil or grease, and fit together exactly. If necessary, clean the surfaces to be bonded with LOCTITE SF 7063 before the application.
