IR Sensor module has great adaptive capability of the ambient light, having a pair of infrared transmitter and the receiver tube, the infrared emitting tube to emit a certain frequency, encounters an obstacle detection direction (reflecting surface), infrared reflected back to the receiver tube receiving, after a comparator circuit processing, the green LED lights up, while the signal output will output digital signal (a low-level signal), through the potentiometer knob to adjust the detection distance, the effective distance range 2 ~ 10cm working voltage of 3.3V-5V. The most prominent application for infrared thermometers, from Melexis, is measuring body temperature to check for fever and illness. There are three main types of IR fever thermometers: ear thermometers, forehead thermometers, and non-contact, distance-read thermometers. Measurement accuracy depends on the calibration accuracy of the thermometer and how accurately the temperature measured on the patient's exterior can be translated into an internal body temperature. For most medical applications, a measurement accuracy of ±0.2°C or better is required.
The MLX90615 from Melexis is the world's first intelligent infrared thermometer integrated into the ultra small TO-46 package commonly used in the manufacture of ear thermometers. This ultra-small and cost effective, non-contact thermometer delivers a fully calibrated digital temperature reading achieved by integrating an infrared sensor with a custom signal conditioning chip in a TO-46 package.
The sensing element in the MLX90615 is a silicon chip with a thin, micro-machined membrane heated by the infrared radiation of the object. This proven Melexis technology has been applied to industrial and automotive temperature measurement challenges for many years. A custom built signal conditioning chip amplifies and digitizes the minute voltages generated by the thermocouples on the sensor membrane and calculates the object temperature using factory set calibration parameters stored in the memory of the chip. Most PTC thermistors are of the "switching" type, which means that their resistance rises suddenly at a certain critical temperature. The devices are made of a doped polycrystalline ceramiccontaining barium titanate (BaTiO3) and other compounds. The dielectric constant of this ferroelectric material varies with temperature. Below the Curie point temperature, the high dielectric constant prevents the formation of potential barriers between the crystal grains, leading to a low resistance. In this region the device has a small negative temperature coefficient. At the Curie point temperature, the dielectric constant drops sufficiently to allow the formation of potential barriers at the grain boundaries, and the resistance increases sharply. At even higher temperatures, the material reverts to NTC behaviour. The equations used for modeling this behaviour were derived by W. Heywang and G. H. Jonker in the 1960s.
Another type of PTC thermistor is the polymer PTC, which is sold under brand names such as "Polyswitch" "Semifuse", and "Multifuse". This consists of a slice of plastic with carbon grains embedded in it. When the plastic is cool, the carbon grains are all in contact with each other, forming a conductive path through the device. When the plastic heats up, it expands, forcing the carbon grains apart, and causing the resistance of the device to rise rapidly. Like the BaTiO3 thermistor, this device has a highly nonlinear resistance/temperature response and is used for switching, not for proportional temperature measurement.
Yet another type of thermistor is a silistor, a thermally sensitive silicon resistor. Silistors employ silicon as the semiconductive component material. In contrary to the "switching" type thermistor, silistors have an almost linear resistance-temperature characteristic.

INTRODUCTIONThe LM35 series are precision integrated-circuit temperature sensors, whose output voltage is linearly proportional to the Celsius (Centigrade) temperature. The Soil Moisture Sensor accurately measures soil moisture for many applications. The sensor requires no maintenance and has Analogue Output and Digital output. 18-D80NK Infrared Obstacle Avoidance Sensor contains an infrared transmitter and receiver which together make up a photoelectric sensor. The sensor has a long detection distance, and has less interference by visible light because it uses modulated Infrared light. This rain detector will give you a heads-up the instant it starts to rain, hopefully giving you time to close windows and bring in possessions. The battery-powered circuit draws virtually no current when the sensor is dry and the current consumption is low when the buzzer is activated so a couple of AA cells will last a long time. Alternately, a molded power supply with a simple voltage regulator to drop the voltage to 3 volts could be used. The circuit is basically a handy flasher circuit that operates well on only 3 volts using ordinary silicon transistors. When the circuit is triggered, the buzzer is pulsed about once per second for a very short time, giving it a "dripping water" sound which seems appropriate. A slower, longer beep may be had by increasing the 1 uF capacitor. The 10 k resistor may be increased for a longer beep time without decreasing the beep rate but at some point the circuit will cease to function properly, depending on the gain of the transistors.
