Initially the company started with Computer Education Courses in the name and style of Softech Computer Courses but simultaneously it ventured into the assembling of computers as well.
But it was not at all easy for a new company to establish itself in the market, where there were already big players and it had to face lot of problems in terms of margins. Recalling his initial struggle, Managing Director said, "We faced some problems in the beginning like high volumes and low margins, but slowly and gradually we overcame all the problems."
After struggling for couple of years, in 1995 the company entered into computer components distribution. To begin with it started with Quantum hard disk drives and Mitsumi products. Following it, Softech also added the two reputed brands Seagate and HP to its product portfolio.
In 1996 Softech started import business and started importing various computer components and peripherals.
The company currently has strength of about 700 channel partners in Delhi and in neighbouring states. It has two branches in Gurgaon and Ghaziabad.
Due to its sheer hard work, dedication and honesty, Softech Computers Delhi Ltd got one of the biggest breakthrough in IT business. Softech was appointed as the Master Sales Affiliates and Distributor (Retail Products) for the Dell Laptops and Desktops in 2008.
