St Aloysius Institute of Management & Information Technology (AIMIT) is the NEW CAMPUS for MBA and IT programmes offered by St Aloysius College (AUTONOMOUS), Mangalore. The independent campus which is being developed is second to none, having excellent infra-structure and faculty. St Aloysius College ( AUTONOMOUS) has been offering the Master’s Degree in Computer Applications for the last 11 years. The MCA course is affiliated to Mangalore University and is approved by AICTE, Delhi.
The MCA programme which began in 1999 was located in the IT Building at the old campus which was inaugurated by Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, the President of India on 28th March, 2003. In 2009 the MCA and other Post graduate IT programmes and the MBA programme moved to AIMIT, the NEW CAMPUS of St Aloysius College, at Beeri, Kotekar, about 11 KMs away from the old location. The campus is spread over 17 acres of land with Admin Block , Academic block, Students’ residences, Food court, faculty housing etc.
Being autonomous, AIMIT has been able to update the syllabus regularly and has been offering three streams of specializations ( Research, Network and Software Engineering ) starting from the second year. The syllabus covered is on par with foreign universities and the coursework is made interesting by projects, assignments and presentations.
