HepaRe is (Hepatitis B immunoglobulin - HBIG) prepared from human plasma collected from donors with high titre of antibodies to the hepatitis B surface antigen (anti HBsAg).
HepaRel(Hepatitis B immunoglobulin) is a solvent detergent treated and chromatographically purified sterile solution containing 10 - 50g/l protein and contains ≥ 90% Human immunoglobulin G. It has potency of 100 IU/ml or 200 IU/ml of hepatitis B antibodies to the hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) as the active ingredient. It contains no preservative and is intended for administration by intra-muscular route for single dose. Available in 100 IU and 200 IU pack sizes.
HepaRel is indicated for post-exposure prophylaxis in the following situations, in prevention of hepatitis B in case of accidental exposure and prevention of hepatitis B in the newborn.
HepaRel (Hepatitis B immunoglobulin) provides passive immunization for individuals who are exposed to hepatitis B virus from different sources. HepaRel (Hepatitis B immunoglobulin) administration decreases the infection rate.
