Our ultrasound scanning machine is one of the best in the world giving out revolutionary 3D and 4D images. Thus helping the patients and the doctors to pin point the smallest anomalies. This revolutionary technology, obtains 3D images in Real Time up to 16 volumes per second, which goes beyond the realms of traditional ultrasound and opens the 4th dimension in sonography
Uses of Ultrasound Scan - The ultrasound scan is used in many situations. The way the ultrasound bounces back from different tissues can help to determine the size, shape and consistency of organs, structures and abnormalities. So, it can:
  • Help to monitor the growth of an unborn child, and check for abnormalities. An ultrasound scan is routine for pregnant women.
  • Detect abnormalities of heart structures such as the heart valves. (An ultrasound scan of the heart is called an echocardiogram.)
  • Help to diagnose problems of the liver, gallbladder (such as gallstones), pancreas, thyroid gland, lymph nodes, ovaries, testes, kidneys, bladder and breast. For example, it can help to determine if an abnormal lump in one of these organs is a solid tumor or a fluid-filled cyst.
  • Detect abnormal widening of blood vessels (aneurysms).

    Breast Ultrasound

A breast ultrasound can show all areas of the breast, including the area closest to the chest wall, which is hard to study with a mammogram.
  • A breast ultrasound is used to see whether a breast lump is filled with fluid (a cyst) or if it is a solid lump.
  • Find the cause of breast symptoms, such as pain, swelling, and redness.
  • Examine the breast in younger women because their breast tissue is often more dense and a mammogram may not show as much detail.
  • See how far cancer has spread in a breast.
  • Check your breasts if you have silicone  dense breasts. In these situations, a mammogram may not be able to see breast lumps.

    ECG (Electrocardiogram)

    Get Latest Price

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a medical test that detects cardiac (heart) abnormalities by measuring the electrical activity generated by the heart as it contracts. The machine that records the patient’s ECG is called an electrocardiograph. The electrocardiograph records the electrical activity of the heart muscle and displays this data as a trace on a screen or on paper. This data is then interpreted by a doctor. An ECG is very useful in determining whether a person has heart disease. If a person has chest pain or palpitations, an ECG is helpful in determining if the heart is beating normally. If a person is on medications that may affect the heart or if the patient is on a pacemaker, an ECG can readily determine the
immediate effects of changes in activity or medication levels.

    TMT (Treadmill Test)

Treadmill test (TMT) or exercise stress test is used to see how your heart performs under stress.  The patient will walk on a treadmill as per the protocol of the test. This test will induce provocable myocardial ischemia (i.e. to see if there is insufficient blood flow to the heart) for diagnostic evaluation of coronary artery disease.

During the test, the heart rate and blood pressure are monitored continuously along with ECG. The test is stopped if the subject develops limiting angina, breathlessness, fatigue or when the target heart rate is achieved.

    Why is a TMT performed?

The test is performed to help doctors evaluate:

  • Patients with symptoms or signs that suggest a coronary artery diseases.
  • Exercise tolerance when patients have unexplained fatigue and shortness of breath.
  • Blood pressure response to exercise in patients with borderline hypertension.
  • Exercise-induced irregular heartbeats.

    Echocardiogram

At Tamara, we have invested in one of the best echocardiogram machines which produces revolutionary 3D & 4D images of your heart. This in-turn helps you and your doctor to choose the right treatment path. An echocardiogram (echo) is a graphic outline of the heart's movement. This commonly used test allows the doctor to see how your heart is beating and pumping blood. The doctor can use the images from an echocardiogram to identify various abnormalities in the heart muscle and valves.
    Why is an echocardiogram performed?
    The test is used to:
  • Evaluate the overall function of the heart
  • Determine the presence of many types of heart diseases such as valve disease, myocardial disease, pericardial disease, infective endocarditis, cardiac masses and congenital heart disease
  • Check the progress of valve disease over time.
  • Check the effectiveness of the treatment you received from your doctor.

    Doppler Studies

    Get Latest Price

Doppler ultrasound is a well recognized non-invasive technique used to see how blood flows through the blood vessels. It helps doctors evaluate blood flow through major arteries and veins such as those of the arms, legs, and neck.
  • It can show blocked or reduced blood flow through narrowing in the major arteries of the neck that could cause a stroke.
  • Heart valve defects and congenital heart disease
  • It also can reveal blood clots in leg veins (deep vein thrombosis) that could break loose and block blood flow to the lungs
  • During pregnancy, Doppler ultrasound is used to look at blood flow in an unborn baby (fetus) to check the health of the fetus. A Doppler ultrasound can monitor umbilical blood flow. The Doctor can then see if the blood flow is normal, indicating that the fetus is healthy, or abnormal, indicating that the fetus is under stress. The doctor can then determine which pregnancy is a high-risk pregnancy. The aim of using Doppler is to reduce risk to the baby.
