Away from the hustle-bustle of tourist destinations, at the end of a bumpy road, is a small village called Gunehar. Beyond this is a stream and an old trek into Himalaya interiors where the phone does not work and you can’t have a meal in a ‘dhaba’. In summer, numerous little vibrantly colored flowers creep out of the ground, keeping their heads low. In winter, hard ice covers it all. In summer, you can walk through. In winter, even the local shepherds don’t attempt these paths. The 4rooms hotel is a rustic boutique hotel set in the middle of Gunehar. An old merchant’s house that was totally destroyed by a fire, it has been painstakingly restored in traditional style with traditional materials but keeping modern standards in mind. As part of the 4tables project, 4rooms offers you an unique living experience in the middle of a village. Whether you want to get to know the life of a village, or you want to wander in the pristine surroundings, whether you want to do paragliding, visit local temples, participate in one of our special activities or just hang out on your terrace to finish those last notes, at the 4rooms hotel you can wake up to the noise of a village instead of cars and hawkers before you start a day of explorations. the 4rooms hotel is conveniently located 6 kilometers off NH 20 - halfway between Dharamsala and Mandi-- in Kangra District, HP, close to one of the best paragliding sites in the world: Bir-Billing.
