We (Ti Anode Fabricators Pvt Ltd, India) developed an extremely strong and electrically low resistance center crimp connection, which ensures the lowest possible electrical resistance (less than 1.0 Milli Ohm) between the cables and anode tube.

In strength tests the cable will always break first with out any effect on the crimp connection. Typical anode to cable insert strength (tensile) is 1200 kgs.

This high performance anode specifically designed for harsh environments and areas where conventional installations and replacements would be economically prohibited.

The Platinum group Mixed Metal Oxide coating is a crystalline electrically conductive coating that activates and enables a titanium substrate to function as an anode. Whether operating in fresh water, seawater, soil, or mud, MMO Coatings are extremely stable in even in very low pH environments.

The Unique MMO crimp cable connection and high specifications components means that the MMO anode is extremely durable and unlike other impressed current anodes, will not affected by a presence of chlorine.

Anode Element: Ti’s MMO titanium tubular anodes are coated with mixed metal oxide that has an extremely low consumption rate measured in milligrams per year. Unlike other types of anodes the consumption rate of MMO anode is negligible with the dimensions of the anode element remaining virtually unchanged during the operational service life of the anode. As a result, the power required to impress current will remain the same.

Refurbishment:

Refurbishment of ICCP anodes leads double the life with half of the cost. Almost all anodes can be refurbished to new specifications, whether they’re used in water boxes, Marine structures or and pressure vessels. Its cost will be just half of buying new one. Refurbishment includes replating, re-deposition of MMO, rebuilding the standoff and /or replacement, depending on the condition of the anode. Refurbishment time is only 2-4 weeks. Low current output, damaged standoffs, leaking seals or damaged mounting threads are the symptoms of refurbishment.

Platinum is widely used as electrodes in metal finishing industries due its advantage of having special chemical & physical properties like high corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity and catalytic nature.  Being a very expensive metal, instead of using solid form, platinum is deposited on the surface of titanium or niobium, occasionally on molybdenum by micron level layer.  Electrodes [Anodes or Cathodes] are available with hanging hook, frame or band in the form of sheet, mesh, pipe, wire, rod and custom built.  Platinised titanium anode is used in electrolytes having no fluoride. Platinised niobium anodes are used in electrolytes having fluoride, where we need better conduction (its conductivity is three times of titanium)  and also it is suitable for Sulphuric acid chromium plating bath operated at current density greater than 75A / dm².  Platinised titanium / niobium anodes are having the advantages of Low weight - good current resistance; Long life operation - maintenance free;      Economical - due to low platinum requirements; High dimensional stability and low resistance; Highly suitable as auxiliary anodes of complex geometrical shapes.
