Metal Coating Lines

A broad range of solutions are offered for metallic coating of both hot-rolled and cold-rolled strip in continuous hot-dip or electrolytic coating lines. This value-added, high-quality material is extensively used in construction, in appliances, in automotive and in packaging applications as a well-proven and time-tested solution for corrosion protection.

Color Coating Line

This is a pre-coating line that forms coats through advance application and baking of coating materials onto strips produced by Continuous Galvanizing Lines (CGL; to enhance corrosion resistance) and Continuous Annealing Lines (CAL; to improve properties, such as strength and elongation). It is an add-on for visual aspects of strips, such as color and gloss, as well as for protective elements, such as weather and corrosion resistance.

SLITTING AND CUTTING-TO-LENGTH line is designed for longitudinal and cross cutting of sheet metal (with zinc or polymer coating and with width up to 1500 mm and thickness up to 3.0 mm).

The line consist of:

·         decoiler ;

·         powerful high-load straightener;

·         spooler;

·         slitter;

·         cross guillotine with holding system;

·         operating system with control of the cut sheets length;

·         stacking device;

·         handling system;

·         recoiler.

Narrow Hot Strip Mills

They are designed to produce flat steel from thin strip with a minimum final gauge of 1.2 millimeters to high-strength pipe steels up to 25.4 millimeters thick, including stainless steel grades. Implemented here are many technologies that ensure excellent hot strip quality as well as high cost efficiency and availability.

PICKLING LINES — CLEAN AND SCALE-FREE SURFACES FOR OPTIMIZED DOWNSTREAM PROCESSES

Modularly designed continuous pickling lines from Primetals Technologies are known for their efficiency, economic operation and use of advanced technologies such as i-Box pickling.

Automatic Guage Control

The system automatically maintains extremely tight gauge tolerances as the strip passes through the mill at up to 1,000 meters per minute. Corrections are transmitted to an accurate, highly-responsive hydraulic servo screw down system monitored by precision high-response gauges.
