Founded in the year 1964 at Kochi, Kerala, we “Traco Cable Company Limited” are engaged in the manufacturing and exporting a quality assortment of Aluminium Conductor, Electric Cable, Electric Wire, XLPE Cable and Insulated Cable. Also, strict superiority checks are been approved by us over the entire assortment, to assure that our products are faultless and are in fulfillment with the norms defined by the industry. 

We are one among those who first perceived the opportunities inherent in this new development. It soon went into Technical collaboration with M/S. GENERAL CABLES INC., USA, world leaders in the communication cable field and manufactured them in India to exacting standards. 

We have three manufacturing setups in Kerala. The first manufacturing unit was setup at Irimpanam-Ernakulam District and started commercial production since 1964.The second manufacturing unit was setup in 1989 at Thiruvalla-Pathnamthitta District and the third Unit was set up at Pinarayi-Kannur District in 2011.

TRACO’s development over the years:

The first unit of our company was established at Irimpanam in the year 1964, in collaboration with KELSEY Engineering Co. Ltd., Canada.        

The manufacturing activities of the Company started with the production of bare conductors and PVC insulated cables and wires.

We reaped the benefit of having technical collaboration from M/s. Hindustan Cables Limited-India and De-Angeli Industries, Italy and M/S Philips Communications, Germany for its products.

We have been in the forefront in meeting the needs of major customers like various Electricity Boards, Railways, BSNL and ESCOMS of other states and to the various project groups.

With an employee strength of more than 500, our vision to grow in the country as one of the pioneers in the cable industry catering the needs of all its customers with timely delivered quality products.
