IndianOil is selling Bulk Industrial LPG as per IS 4576 (latest edition). The Bulk Industrial LPG is sold as Commercial Butane, Commercial Propane and Commercial LPG.

Based on Customer's specific requirement LPG is also supplied in various mixes of Propane and Butane.

Demands of Customers who require Propane rich LPG are met through IndianOil's Import Terminals.

1.0 LPG as an automotive fuel in the country was introduced in India after the issuance of the LPG (Regulation of Use in Motor Vehicles) Order in the year 2001 by Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The actual retailing of Auto LPG thru an Auto LPG Dispensing Station (ALDS) could commence only in late 2002 with the introduction of LPG Conversion Kits duly approved by ARAI. It has been more than 6 years since, and during this period, the Auto LPG Industry has been treading a path of steady progress, consolidation and above all, safety.

2.0 SALIENT FEATURES OF LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (REGULATION OF USE IN MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER’2001:

2.1 Allows Government Oil Companies and Rated Parallel Marketers to import (including Auto LPG import substitution), storing, distribution and selling Auto LPG for Automotive purpose (conforming to IS 14861:2000) through Auto LPG Dispensing Stations to registered vehicles with permanently fitted Auto LPG tanks and approved LPG Conversion Kits as notified by Ministry of Surface Transport, Government of India.

• Suraksha LPG Hose' is registered trademark of LERC, Bengaluru and is manufactured as per IS:9573:1998 Type-4 and LERC guidelines.

• It consists of three layers, the middle layer being the steel wire – braiding which prevents rodent attacks, the inner and outer layers being of special rubber materials. Wire-braided construction eliminates various deficiencies of rubber tube and provides a superior alternative to the flexible rubber tube and is guaranteed for 5 years.

• Suraksha LPG Hoses are packed in specially designed exclusive pouches giving the details of the manufacturer, Max. Retail Price, length of the piece, instruction cards, and safety tips for usage of LPG and Suraksha LPG Hose Hoses.

• The potential customers for Suraksha LPG hose are New customers, replacement of green rubber tubes and replacement of used Suraksha LPG hose with new Suraksha LPG hose.
