Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure performed through very small incisions in the abdomen, using specialized instruments. A pencil-thin instrument called a laparoscope is used, and it gives the surgeon an exceptionally clear view, on a TV monitor, of the inside of the abdominal cavity.

A laparoscope has lenses like a telescope to magnify body structures, a powerful light to illuminate them, and a miniature video camera. The camera sends images of the inside of the body to a TV monitor in the operating room. Specialized surgical instruments can be inserted through the laparoscope, and through small incisions nearby.

This type of surgery is called 'minimally invasive' because of the very small incisions used. Yet major procedures can now be performed using this technique. The term laparoscopy is used when this type of surgery is performed in the abdomen.

We provide laparoscopic procedures in our hospital.

Piles is swelling in the anal passage causing obstruction and pain during passage of Bowels. Often found associated with pain and bleeding. Sometimes there is painless bleeding associated with this disease with or without bowels. It is almost never a life threatening disease.

We address the pain and bleeding which is arrested mostly within hours and sometime days with our medication. The swelling also begins to subside in days and sometimes may take a few weeks depending on the case.

Besides medication to quickly and permanently heal the patient suffering from Piles or Haemorrhoids, we also have a very simple management advice which quickens the healing process and prevents reoccurrence.

In a good proportion of cases one of the causes of piles is constipation or hard and irregular bowel motions, which we also treat alongside the Piles. The management advice that we give for piles also helps in regularising the constipation without the need for any purgatives.
