About Us

India is one of the lands that is endowed with rich biodiversity, varied types of soil, abundant rainfall and sunshine. This immense natural wealth facilitates cultivation of diverse agricultural crops across the length and breadth of the country. This explains the huge responsibility this land has in feeding the world population especially in the near future as population rates will increase. The story of a farmer about 60-70 years ago was almost polar opposite to that of today’s farmer. During the time of our grandfathers, a farmer loved his job and felt the responsibility that he owes to the society through his profession. The life of a farmer was never easy, neither today nor then. However, today, the farmer seems to have lost his sense of pride in farming as a profession which explains the steep decline in the number of farmers in the country post green revolution. Hardly any of the farmers today promote the idea of farming as a profession to their next generation. The number of farmer suicides have grown in the country and the amount of farming has started to decline. It is a big problem for the entire world if the rates of farming in a country like india start to decline so rapidly. One of the major causes of environmental damage and issues of food security are coming from the farm itself. We are all responsible to bring back the true essence of the Indian farmer who feels responsible, proud and earns a living through his/ her profession. One who promoted farming and passes on his responsibility to the generation after.

The consumer plays a significant role in this entire process. If generalized, today’s consumer can mostly fit into two categories: one where the consumer is constantly looking for the best prices in the highly saturated market and another where the consumer is willing to pay high prices to find healthier alternatives or the brands they are used to using. One big gap between the farmer and the consumer is the knowledge gap. The consumer has little to no knowledge about how the food they eat is produced at the farm level. On the other hand, the farmer has little to no knowledge on the expectation of the consumer or the issues of food safety that the world today faces at a large scale. To summarize an ideal relationship between a farmer and a consumer, the consumer depends on the farmer to benefit from healthy food while the farmer is dependent on the consumer to earn his income. Unfortunately though the role of middlemen has suppressed this relationship largely and caused an increased knowledge gap.

We believe that health is something that everyone in the society deserves. We also believe that farming is a profession that involves great responsibility towards feeding the society and shaping it into a healthier place. Our purpose of existence really comes into place to bring back the responsible and ethical farmer in the country hence making India an agricultural hub for the world to admire. In order to succeed in our initiative to change the current agricultural situation in India for the better, we require both the farmer and the consumer to cooperate and take equal responsibility in their producing and buying habits respectively. With the rising awareness about ethical farming and increasing number of health conscious consumers in our society we are aspiring to magnify/ increase the number of ethical farmers and healthy consumers in India and the world at a larger scale
