The first question that comes to mind of every Dog owner is that how often a dog should be given bath?
The answer would be very simple that unless a dog has skin problems, there is no need to give him bath but at the same time it is very important to understand that to keep Dog away from any skin problem, he should be given a bath once in a month (Summers) and once in 2 months (Winters).
Just like human, some dogs get stinky faster than others. There are dogs that have never had a bath in their life and do not have an unpleasant smell, but on an average dogs need bath monthly.
General Dog Bathing Guidelines
It is recommend to bathe a dog with normal skin once a month with proper prescribed dog shampoo. If the owner want to bathe more than once a month, then it is recommended to use a moisturizing shampoo to prevent the skin from turning dry. Recommendation by your vet is very important.
Dogs like to be dirty and stinky — and many will resist if they think that it will help them to be away from bath.
