Silane is an inorganic compound containing a single or multiple silicon-carbon (Si-C) bonds with chemical formula, SiH₄.The silicon-based monomeric chemical consists of four substituent, and at least one carbon-silicon bond structure (CH3-Si-). VinSil MX-570 grade is a methacryl-functional silane with coloreless transparent liquid,soluble in various organic solvents.It may form polysiloxane after hydrolysis.Overheating ,light,peroxide may cause polymerization.
It is used as adhesion promoter at organic /inorgnic interfaces,as surface modifier or as crosslinking of polymers.It can used as coupling agent to improve physical & electrical properties of glass-reinforced & mineral-filled thermosetting resins under exposure to heat or mositure.
It acts as blend additive in resin system that cure via free radical mechanism ( e.g.polyester,acrylic ) & in filled or reinforced thermoplastic polymers including polyolefins & polyurethanes .

Vinyl Silane - 171 grade is colorless transparent liquid,have the ester like odor, soluble in most organic solvent acts as crosslinking /coupling agent .
Vinyl Silane-171 grade can be added as a monomer during the emulsion polymerizatio to form silane -modified latexes in vinyl acrylic & acrylic resins.It acts as a crosslinker,the silanes in these latexes forms very stable Si-0-Si linkages .
Vinyl silanes can also be grafted to specific unsaturated polymers,such as polyethylene,polyesters & styrene-butadine copolymers resulting in resins which exhibit silane functionality.The resin can then be crosslinked through an ambient moisture cure mechanism.By crosslinking through this process,high temperature resistance along with greater tensile & tear strengths is acheived for thermoplastics resin based materials.
